GALS Pregnancy Support
The On Call Program, which offers a doula at the time of labor, induction, or planned cesarean, is a great option for folks who are close to their due date, waiting to be matched with a Prenatal Program Doula, or for times when our prenatal program is at capacity. Through the On Call Program, when you are in early labor (or if you have a planned induction/cesarean), call GALS at 512-934-2171. We will work to find you a birthworker who will provide labor, birth, immediate postpartum support and one follow up postpartum visit.
During pregnancy, we’ve created some extra offerings for you as you prepare for your labor/birth.
Everyone is invited to take the perinatal education course which covers each trimester, labor, interventions, comfort measures, and postpartum issues such as infant feeding, and newborn sleep. Use the free code from Dominique and Sign up HERE.
Group-based prenatal support is available. GALS doulas are hosting 2 virtual Prep for birth and 2 virtual postpartum planning groups each month that you can join and learn more about creating birth and postpartum plans. Keep reading to learn more.
