We collect information you provide directly to us when you request birth or postpartum doula support, apply to volunteer, make a donation, or contact us. This may include:

  • Health-related context or intake details shared to match you with and provide appropriate care.

We use your information to coordinate and provide perinatal care support, communicate day-to-day scheduling updates, respond to your inquiries, send links to requested care resources, and process donations.

3. Mobile Text Messaging and 10DLC Compliance

If you provide your mobile phone number to GALS, you agree to receive text messages from staff and birthworkers regarding your care coordination, scheduling, and resources.

  • Opt-In Consent: Mobile consent is obtained directly from you during phone intake consultations or via un-checked opt-in boxes on our digital care forms.

  • Texting Opt-Out: You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text "STOP" to our number. After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed.

  • HELP Instructions: If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program you can reply with the keyword "HELP" for more assistance.

4. Sharing and Disclosure of Information

We do not sell, rent, or lease your personal information to third parties.

SHARING OF MOBILE INFORMATION AND CONSENT:
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates.
