Asia Sartorwill be joining us! She is the 2016 Hellen Sullivan Scholarship recipient from the Texas Breastfeeding Coalition. Asia currently works as a breastfeeding peer counselor with City of Austin WIC where she provides prenatal breastfeeding education, postpartum breastfeeding support (including latch assist, issuance of pumps, weight checks, education and referral), and weekly in clinic breastfeeding classes. Additionally, the City of Austin has allowed her to pilot a program she helped create with Travis County Correctional Facility and WIC where she teaches a breastfeeding/pumping/infant feeding program for incarcerated mothers to be.
