MMMRC Meeting

  • Robert D Moreton Building 1100 W 49th Austin, Texas, 78704 United States (map)

The MMMRC is an open meeting, however, by registering below, you sign up for organizing updates and more!

We are working to pack the room at the September 25th MMMRC meeting. A full room sends a clear message: Texas families, birth workers, providers, advocates, and community members are watching closely and demanding transparency, accountability, and action from the state. We want the committee to see a crowd of people who deeply care about the lives of Texas mothers and families—and who are ready to push for change.

Note: The Maternal Mortality and Morbidity Review Committee holds open meetings every quarter. You don't need to register to attend. However, by registering here, you'll get updates on the report, meeting details, talking points, advocacy opportunities, and ways to connect with others ahead of September 25.

Background:

The biennial report and recommendations on maternal deaths in Texas have been delayed. This report is legally required to be released by September 1 of every even year, giving lawmakers time to act on its recommendations. That deadline has passed, and we're still waiting.

The MMRC's recommendations are vital for identifying preventable maternal deaths and shaping policies that could save lives. Delaying the report delays the public accountability and legislative action that should follow.
